Funerals

We offer help and support any family in Hucclecote when they are bereaved and grieving. The funeral can be arranged via the funeral directors, who will then contact the Minister.

Our Minister will visit the family as soon as possible and help with all aspects of the planning of the funeral service. A funeral can either be held in the church or in the Crematorium, depending on your wishes. Someone else may be able to lead the service with, or instead of, our Minister with their agreement.

There are lots of ways to celebrate the life of someone you love in a funeral service. We have an audio-visual system to play music and show pictures or videos.

Our Church premises are available for hire if you would like to remember a loved one after the funeral service.
Please contact our Minister to discuss a funeral or arrange a pastoral visit.
There are more details about hiring our premises here.

Wherever you live, wherever the funeral takes place, whatever your link to the person who has died, the church is available for you afterwards. Whether the funeral has happened recently or many years ago, contact us to find out the different ways in which your local church is there for you.

A Place to Remember
We do not have a graveyard attached to the church, but the section of enclosed garden to the side of the church has been set aside to help people remember those they love.

A Place to Remember includes a bench where you can sit quietly, reflect and pray. There is also somewhere to put a painted stone to remember somebody special. You can place your own stone, take one from the Welcome Café and decorate it yourself, orwe can paint a stone for you with words you provide.

A Place to Remember is open whenever there is a church service or when the Welcome Café is open during the week. We also hold an All Saint's remembrance service each November.
